We create free, outdoor events in the intersection of mental health and civil rights

One key aspect of mental health is having empathy instead of fear, making us able to uphold others’ equality, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Coalition Founder Chase Masterson produced and moderated the first and only justice rallies ever at a comic-con, first in San Diego with Real-Life Superheroes: We Demand Justice, and then with the Love is Our Superpower Rally at New York Comic Con 2018.

Here, watch Chase employ inspiration from Wonder Woman, Captain America, and Superman in this powerful speech on the crucial nature of standing for the victimized, marginalized and outcast:

The NYCC Rally featured Moms Rising VP Monifa Bandele speaking on the urgent need for mental health counselors, social workers, and social emotional learning in schools:

Also speaking at Love is Our Superpower was Kevin Hines, a survivor of a suicide attempt after jumping the Golden Gate Bridge. Here is some of the wisdom and empowerment he shared regarding crucial mental health support and destigmatization:

Coalition Curriculum Creator Dr. Janina Scarlet draws the parallel of mental health and civil rights in her work with us; here is a clip of her powerful speech in San Diego:

"On my soul, I swear: until my dream of a world where dignity, honor, and justice becomes the reality we all share -- I'll never stop fighting.”
